Addressing the Needs of Gender Diverse Youth
Gender diverse youth are faced with so many unique challenges. The media has been covering a lot of controversies and politically charged conversations around transgender youth. With this, gender diverse youth have become vulnerable to a lot of scrutiny from their communities. As lived experience professionals we may feel unequipped to handle youth who come from a very different background than our own. In this TA call you will learn the basics of gender diversity. You will also learn how to continue to provide strong peer support to the gender diverse youth we serve across New York State. Finally, we will discuss local, state-wide, and online resources regarding gender diversity. Gender diverse people and allies to gender diverse people are all welcome to attend.
